Amanda had a Mummy Makeover in Phuket November 2018

After four pregnancies (five sons), one being a multiple pregnancy, my body was covered in stretch marks and extremely saggy skin. I was very embarrassed about my body and made sure I covered up so no-one could see what I hated. For years I wanted to get a tummy tuck and a breast lift so I starting researching. I spoke to a few New Zealand surgeons about different procedures, complications and price. I felt extremely disheartened at the cost of surgery in New Zealand, so I started researching on line for overseas procedures.

As I was researching online I noticed MediCation Tours. I contacted Jacqui who totally put my mind at ease. I felt instantly comfortable.

Jacqui was amazing with a plan in place for everything. She not only had to make this work for me but for my family also because I decided to combine a family vacation with my husband and our two young sons while I recuperated from the surgeries. We choose Phuket for our cosmetic holiday as the hospital and surgeons are amongst the best in Thailand and we felt  there would be plenty to keep my young family occupied.

Jacqui organised everything for me, the best surgeon at PPSI (Phuket Plastic Surgery Institute). I didn’t have to worry about a thing. All transfers were organised and pre- arranged including the airport/hospital transfers, pick up from and back to the resort and also for follow up procedures.

When we arrived in Phuket I spent the first day with my family swimming and soaking up the sun. The next day a driver arrived at the hotel and took me to the hospital.

I walked into the hospital which is more like a 5 star hotel and  everything from start to finish ran smoothly. The nurses were amazing. I met my surgeon Dr Piyapas and had my consultation.  He was very clear about the result he could deliver and explained that because I was having two serious surgeries in one operation that after surgery I may wake up in the intensive care unit, this was just as a precaution.

It all happened so fast!! I was being checked by the nurses, then taken to my room to settle in, then wheeled away to the surgery room.

The nurses kept talking to me and making me feel at ease. Then Dr Piyapas came in and held my hand while I was given the anaesthetic and drifted off to sleep.

The next thing I knew I was awake, and the surgery was done and a success. I felt no pain!!!! The first thing I remember were two nurses smiling down at me and chatting to me. It was the most amazing experience waking up to these beautiful caring nurses and feeling extremely relaxed.

My surgery consisted of a breast lift and a tummy tuck also known as a mummy makeover.

The day after my surgery, I was up walking. I was a little bent over due to my stomach skin being pulled tight from the tummy tuck.

My recovery ran so smoothly due to the fact that I am extremely healthy and fit. I left the hospital four days after my surgery and enjoyed the rest of my stay in Phuket in the sunshine and relaxing with the family.

Six months on, I am very happy with my new body, it was certainly the best decision I ever made.

Jacqui made everything so easy. The after care was superb, again all taken care of through Jacqui.  Jacqui was contactable throughout the whole process, beginning to end.  I am very grateful to this wonderful lady. For anyone thinking about having a mummy makeover or any other cosmetic surgery I would highly recommend going through Medication Tours.
