A tummy tuck and a perky bust was something I had been wanting for years.

My family were all grown and I wanted to do something for myself. Your breasts and tummy are never the same after you have had children – I wanted to feel good about myself in outfits and a bikini again.

I travelled to Thailand with two close friends. One of them joined me in the hospital and had cosmetic surgery too. She had her old breast implants replaced with new ones and an upper blepharoplasty (eye lids).

We had our surgery in Phuket at PPSI and I can’t fault the surgeons, nurses or the hospital. The level of care is incredible. The hospital is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious with ensuites. We each had our own room to recuperate in.

It wasn’t easy to begin with. After the surgery, I was very sore but had been told by Jacqui and the doctors and nurses that tummy tuck is one of the biggest procedures to recover from, especially in my case as I had had an extended tummy tuck.

My boob job turned out to be a little bit more difficult for the surgeon than first anticipated also, because one breast was slightly lower than the other breast. Which I have since learned is very common after babies and breast feeding.

All in all it was an amazing experience. It had ups and downs and days where I wondered what I had done but at the end of it I can honestly say it was all worth it. I absolutely love my new body and would do it all again.
