LASIK Eye Surgery
LASIK is short for “Laser-Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis”. LASIK eye surgery is suited to patients under the age of 45 wanting to restore their 20/20 vision. The procedure itself is very quick with practically no down time. In this surgery, the microkeratome is used to create a thin flap in the cornea, and the excimer laser is used to reshape the underlying corneal tissue.
Blepharoplasty (eyelid rejuvenation) cannot be combined with LASIK and would need to be done once your eyes have had sufficient recovery time.
