Yes, certain medications such as Aspirin or anti-inflammatories can thin your blood, increasing your chances of bleeding and slowing the healing process. If you are taking any medication or vitamins leading up to your surgery, let us and the surgeon know. We will send you a pre-surgery checklist which will tell you which vitamins and medicines to avoid once the surgery is confirmed.

Before surgery, it’s best to avoid fake tans as they can raise the risk of infection. Steer clear of the sun and artificial tans for 2 to 3 weeks before the procedure.

Our surgeons like you to have natural nails for heart monitoring. It’s advisable to check with your hospital about their policy on nail polish and artificial nails.

If you think your period may align with your surgery date, see your GP about going on the contraceptive pill. Start on the pill approximately two months before surgery. For those who cannot take the pill ask your GP about another pill called primolut. This can be used to stop the bleeding.

Experiencing post-op blues after a cosmetic procedure is common, especially for clients who have undergone multiple surgeries. It’s normal to feel bruised, swollen, and uncomfortable. Remember that results may not be immediate and complete healing can take weeks or even months. Instead of dwelling on it, focus on the fact that this phase will pass. Keep in touch with your loved ones; hearing familiar voices can be comforting. Share your feelings with your nurse, but keep in mind that this difficult time will soon be over, and you’ll soon be embracing your new self. Stay optimistic.

The first six weeks after surgery are critical for recovery. It’s important not to lift anything too heavy during this period, including children, and gradually resume normal activities over the following three months. Each person’s recovery varies, and some may return to their regular routine more quickly than others. Delay those pool parties until your incision sites are fully healed!

Until your surgeon approves (usually within 3 months), it’s essential to refrain from swimming and prolonged water contact. This includes pools, the ocean, baths, spas, and saunas. After surgery, your suture sites are sensitive. Exposure to water and steam can slow down wound healing, increase infection risk, and cause visible scarring. If you need to be in water before your wounds heal completely, keep it short, ensure your suture sites are thoroughly dry, and change wet bandages.

Your hospital transfer will pick you up from the hotel lobby. After finishing your admission paperwork at the hospital, the surgery preparation process will commence. This will involve essential pre-surgical tests (blood, heart, height, weight), along with any additional tests specified in your Treatment Plan.

COVID-19 Documentation

There are no longer any COVID-19 related requirements to enter Thailand. All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can enter Thailand without the need to produce vaccination certificates or PCR test results. However, testing and travel restrictions surrounding COVID-19 can change at short notice. So, it’s important to stay up to date on these conditions by continually checking relevant government websites.

Vaccinations are not necessary for people staying in the city near the hospital. Vaccines are only necessary for travelers who venture to parts of rural Thailand.

Travel insurance is needed by everyone who travels overseas. Some things that travel insurance may cover are missed flights and lost luggage. You can apply for cover online or ask your travel agent to arrange this for you.
